[#282 | Catharsis] Voting Post
Dec. 8th, 2025 11:24 pmHere are the entries for this challenge:
( List of entries )
Please Note: Because we only have 3 entries this week, there is only a First Place and Runner Up to vote for!
In order to vote, please reply to this post using the form provided. All comments are screened, and entries are listed in the order they were submitted. For your vote to qualify, you must fill out your entire voting card (both spots) in order to be counted. Winner votes are worth 2 points, Runner Up votes are worth 1 point. Meeting the bonus goal on an entry gets an extra point for that submission.
When voting, please copy/paste the ENTRY NUMBER and the FIC TITLE from the list above into the spot you're voting for (this prevents accidentally mis-numbering a vote and casting it for the wrong entry). It should look like this:
First Place: 61. Fic Title Here
Runner Up: 88. Another Fic Title
Please note that you cannot vote for your own entry, and that votes cannot be made anonymously. You do not have to be a member of the community in order to vote, nor have submitted an entry for this week; everyone is welcome to participate in the voting. IP addresses are logged to prevent duplicate voting.
Voting closes Wednesday, December 10 at 9:00PM EST.

[#282] lines in the sand, language of eye contact (House M.D.)
Dec. 6th, 2025 07:24 pmTheme Prompt: #282 - Catharsis
Title: lines in the sand, language of eye contact
Fandom: House M.D.
Rating/Warnings: PG. Makes reference to somewhat outdated terms regarding the autism spectrum, but other than that, decently wholesome.
Word Count: 533 words
Author's Note: Another one of the times my brain has a sudden burst of motivation for something, this time regarding a curious episode of House in which there's one of the few times he manages to truly connect to a patient. Kind of a magical moment for me (an autistic doofus of a man with too many interests). Also yes this means I am kinda leaning towards a "House is actually somewhat in the spectrum someplace" headcanon, I do what I want.
Summary: The best approximation of how Dr. House is feeling during the events of the main case of "Lines in the Sand".

Spotify Wrapped 2025
Dec. 6th, 2025 06:09 pmIt's Spotify Wrapped time of year! I always think it's fun, so I thought I'd share mine here if anyone's interested in seeing the extent to which t-pop has overtaken my listening in the past six months :)

But uh speaking of Spotify, I have been hearing some not great things about it lately (ICE ads, donations to Trump, AI "artists", etc.). Not that I actually really like it anyway, it's just convenient. So I'm thinking of switching, I'm just not sure what site/app is better. Anyone have recs?

Community Welcome and Guidelines
Dec. 6th, 2025 08:55 amWelcome! Thank you for participating in the community, whether it is as author or reader!
What is
100words?
100words is a weekly drabble challenge community originally hosted on Imzy and now here on Dreamwidth. Every Tuesday a new prompt is posted -- a word, picture, phrase, quotation -- and members are invited to respond with a drabble (fiction that is exactly 100 words in length).
Do I have to include the prompt in my reply?
No. The prompt is merely a means to get your creative juices flowing.
Seriously, what if my drabble doesn't include the prompt?
Not a problem. The prompt is merely there to inspire you to write 100 words.
What if I write more than 100 words?
Please limit your responses to 100 words in length. There are other communities for fiction under and over 100 words, such as
fandomweekly.
The exception to this rule is every tenth week during the amnesty round, when you may post double (200 word) or triple (300 word) responses by using tag #356 - double/triple drabbles. You can use more than one tag on a drabble during amnesty rounds!
How do I participate?
Please post your fiction to the community, indicating in the tag which prompt you are answering. We started with Prompt #25 on Dreamwidth because that's where 100 Words on Imzy was at.
Here is a template for posting your work:

What if I miss a prompt?
No worries! Every tenth week is an Amnesty Week, when all previous prompts are fair game.
Can I post fanfic/original fic?
All fiction is welcome at
100words. Please indicate the fandom in your post, or whether it is original fiction. Content warnings for potential triggers, mature or explicit content, or spoilers are also expected.
Do I need to include content warnings such as triggers, mature ratings, and spoilers?
Yes. And please put your drabble under a cut tag if it contains potential triggers, mature or explicit content, or spoilers for media released in the last month.
Can I post AI works?
No. AI-generated works are not welcome here. Like plagiarism, AI fiction does not reflect your particular creativity and is antithetical to the community's purpose.
Is there an AO3 collection?
There is! You can find the AO3 collection here and can include your work in the collection by choosing 100words in the "Post to Collections / Challenges" field.
I have a question you haven't answered!
Feel free to comment here!
